It was a big day in the Walters household. This was Ben's first day as a 'real teacher' and he also got his full license. (For those in the states - it's a different system - takes about 4 years to get it. And until you get it, you have to drive around with P plates on your car.) So we went out to eat and had a cutting of the P plates ceremony.
Me - popping out!
Ben's creative side
A night visitor
One night, after I came home from work, late as always, Ben and I were walking into the house and I didn't have my glasses on, but I saw this white blob on the electric wire outside of our house. And I said to Ben - hey what's that? He said it was a cuckaburro and I said, I don't think so. Do you have owls in Australia? And he said, that's not an owl. And sure enough, the picture proves who was right? We stayed outside looking at this beautiful bird for a good while, while he looked at us.
It's amazing the birds you see here in Sydney. We are so lucky. And we have a friendly bat that comes to our front tree every night. Haven't captured a picture of him yet.

The big 30!
Spring is here!
